About the Boat House

The Boathouse is estimated to be a fixture on the Sturgeon Bay canal since the 1930's. We have information that the Boathouse was called Burtons Perch in the 50's and most recently according to pamphlets  and guest cards from the 70's "Glo's Cottages."

Brian and Deb bought their dream home in Door County in 2004. Almost all the Boathouse had been renovated keeping all it's quaint historical charm. All that was needed was a few updates and the Boathouse is a Door County classic.

You'll be hard pressed to find a more unique cottage in Door County. The lower level was used to store boats back in the day and now makes a great social and party room.

You get the best of both worlds at the Boathouse. Half a mile away from Potowatomi State Park for hiking and biking and only minutes away from beautiful downtown Sturgeon Bay. To the right you can see Sturgeon Bay and all the activities of a world class ship builder, Bayship. To the left nothing but mother nature.

The Boathouse is our home, welcome!
